BVCOSP is dedicated to suicide prevention in the Brazos Valley Council of Government Region of Texas consisting of the following seven counties: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, & Washington.

Core Beliefs

Suicide may impact anyone– suicide has recognizable warning signs; and is largely preventable through public awareness, education, strategic partnership, advocacy, intervention, & treatment. 

Doing the right things– in the right ways, for the right reasons.

Passion– we are fueled by the desire to save lives and bring hope & healing to those affected by suicide.

Integrity– our aim is to conduct business in a way that is honest, transparent, and ethical. We will govern the corporation in such a manner as to protect and distribute the assets for the purpose of advancing the corporations mission.

Excellence– our aim is to provide services in an effective manner and when possible, to employee evidence-based and or theoretically sound practices.

Strategic Partnership– our aim is to form partnership with individuals, businesses, educational institutions, civic organizations, faith-based organizations, governmental entities, and others in the pursuit of our mission.

Good Stewardship– our aim is to be fiscally responsible and act as a good steward of the resources bequeathed to us.

Dependability– our aim is to fulfill what we consent to do, even if it means unexpected sacrifice.

Compassion– our aim is to invest whatever is necessary and within our ability to help others struggling with, and or impacted by suicide. 

Responsibility– we are committed to knowing & doing what is expected of us. We will strive to be a problem-solver & innovator.
