Mary is the founder and first executive director of the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol & Substance Abuse (BVCASA). She founded the organization in 1984 and left in 1994. She was recruited to return to the organization in 2003 as the Director of Prevention Services and agency grant writer. On August 31 she retired after 28 years of service.
